"I like to watch" - Chance is very open about what he likes. This brings about some very interesting results after Eve Rand approaches him with her own desires. Chance was an unwitting mirror to those around him. He showed a world with a lack of interest in the truth and our own hilarious nature of inner foibles.

In the end, Chance is never "found out" by the world. And surrounded by a world of clueless, close-minded conservatives, he never would be. They would never be able to see Chance as he truly was because they believed they already knew the truth! And no one wished to admit he was lying to himself. The eulogy of Mr. Rand was in his own words. And his final words (and the final scene) show how we all color the world with our own perspective.

Chance tells Eve what he likes I like to watch
